Internship Assignment

The Intern will provide operational and administrative support to the DCP Regional Desks. S/he will have the opportunity to learn and expand her/his experiences by providing assistance in the deployment of Country Programming and Readiness processes and tools.

Under the overall guidance from the Regional Manager Africa within the DCP Regional Desk, the Intern is expected to:

 

a)         Provide analytical support to Regional Desks in the assessment of Country Programming activities;

b)      Provide support to Regional Desks in the deployment and continuous improvement of Readiness processes and tools. This may include, inter alia, supporting the update of Readiness guidance and training documents, and consolidating data required as inputs to Board report and Secretariat policy development.  

 

Requirements and qualifications*

 

a)         Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s program in public policy, sustainable development, climate change, or related fields;

b)         Knowledge and experience with working with developing country governments is an advantage

c)         Good understanding and experience in operations of international organizations is an added advantage;

d)         Proficiency in using standard software programs: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access;

e)         Excellent writing and presentation skills;

f)        Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of another United Nations language, in particular French and Spanish, and/or Portuguese is an advantage.

 

 

* Applicants currently located in the duty station (South Korea) are only eligible to apply. Nevertheless, GCF still aims to attract candidates from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
