Internship Assignment
The pipeline management intern will provide operational and administrative support to the Division of Mitigation and Adaptation (DMA). S/he will have the opportunity to learn and expand her/his experiences by providing assistance in the pipeline database management, development, operations, and reports.
Under the overall guidance of the designated supervisor within the DMA, the Intern is expected to:
a) Assist in the collection, verification, analysis and dissemination of data needed for reports, presentations and other knowledge products related to the management of the pipeline of projects for the public sector;
b) Provide assistance in the project review management including the review meeting scheduling and documentation;
c) Support the maintenance and improvement of online systems relevant to pipeline management and project review;
d) Serve as the main focal point for Climate Investment Committee (CIC) meetings to provide support for agenda setting, uploading of documents and CIC scheduling; and
e) Support any additional analytical and operational tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements and qualifications*
a) Enrolled in or recently graduated Master’s program in the fields of climate science, data management, programming or related fields;
b) Knowledge and experience with business analysis tool such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
c) Good understanding and experience in operations of international organization is an added advantage;
d) Proficiency in using standard software programs: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access;
e) Excellent writing and presentation skills;
f) Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of another United Nations language, in particular French and Spanish, and/or Portuguese is an advantage.
