Internship Assignment

The sectoral guides management intern will provide operational and administrative support to the Division of Mitigation and Adaptation (DMA) in finalizing the development of a series of GCF sectoral guides documents. S/he will have the opportunity to learn and expand her/his experiences by providing assistance in finalization of the sectoral guides documents, which will help coordinate GCF activities with other stakeholders, ensure maximum complementarity and impact of projects, and capture and implement the adaptation and mitigation priorities of developing countries.

Under the overall guidance of the Director of DMA, the Intern is expected to:

 

a) Support the finalisation of the GCF sectoral guides in 2022;

b) Support DMA with inter-divisional coordination of sectoral guides information, documents, and consultations;

c) Support DMA with inter-divisional coordination and organization of sectoral guides webinar information;

d) Support in managing the sectoral guide consultation platform in HypeInnovation, and keep information up to date;

e) Support the copy-editing processes of each sectoral guide before and after documents are submitted for consultation;

f) Support DMA sectoral guides management consultants with portfolio data analysis and taxonomy of all sectors;

g) Support compilation of institutional knowledge management products including portfolio analysis conducted by sectoral guides management consultants; and

h) Other relevant tasks as determined by the supervisor.

 

Requirements and qualifications*

 

a) Enrolled in or recently graduated Master’s program in a related sectoral field of climate science, mitigation, and adaptation;

b) Knowledge and experience with analysis in sectoral guides and in organizing materials;

c) Good understanding and experience in operations of international organizations is an added advantage;

d) Proficiency in using standard software programs: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access;

e) Excellent writing and presentation skills;

f) Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of another United Nations language, in particular French and Spanish, and/or Portuguese is an advantage.

 

* Applicants currently located in the duty station (South Korea) are only eligible to apply. Nevertheless, GCF still aims to attract candidates from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
