Position Objective
The HR Operations and Data Specialist will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing HR data management systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all HR platforms, and streamlining HR processes to improve efficiency and consistency across the organization This individual will lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of HR systems, and manage the creation, development, and delivery of comprehensive dashboards to provide actionable insights for DPC and senior leadership. The role focuses on integrating technology and innovative practices to optimize HR functions and improve employee experience.
Purpose
- Oversee the implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement of HRIS platforms and other HR applications to meet organizational needs.
- Perform hands-on configuration and deployment of new HR systems, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and best practices.
- Ensure data accuracy and integration across platforms by establishing robust workflows, processes, and policies.
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of new HR technologies to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.
Engagement
- Collaborate with IT, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure HR systems are up-to-date, compliant, and capable of supporting strategic objectives.
- Act as the primary liaison between HR and technical teams to address system-related issues and implement enhancements.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements related to HR operations, data reporting, and analytics.
- Manage HR technology implementation projects from initiation to completion, including planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
- Develop and deliver training for HR staff and end-users on the effective use of HR systems and tool.
Delivery
- Develop and maintain advanced HR dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI to provide actionable insights for leadership and the organization.
- Monitor and analyze key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, recruitment, employee engagement) and provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
- Analyze HR processes and workflows to identify automation opportunities and improve efficiency.
- Establish a framework for regular system updates, testing, and security audits to ensure system integrity and compliance.
- Lead the development of policies and procedures related to HR systems and data management to align with global standards.
Requirements (Education, experience, technical competencies required of the job)
- Master’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Data Analytics, HR, Business and Administration, or relevant fields. Bachelor's degree in similar fields with an additional two years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the Master’s degree requirement.
- At least nine (9) years of experience managing HR systems and data analytics in international organizations or comparable environments.
- Proven experience in implementing and configuring HR systems, including hands-on involvement in system setup and customization.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Oracle) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Strong analytical and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing HR dashboards and translating metrics into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- In-depth understanding of HR functions, including talent management, compensation, benefits, and workforce planning.
- Knowledge of global HR practices and compliance frameworks, particularly in international organizations.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential for this position; Knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.
